On Friday May 14th Town of Between and Walton County officials cut the ribbon of the new "Splash Pad park on Heritage Parkway in the Town of Between. Nearly one hundred people came out for the dedication of the Clinton Ayers Park. Mr. Ayers was the District 1 commissioner for many years prior to his death in 2016. Members of the Ayers family attended the ceremony to honor their loved one. The park will begin operation on a limited schedule starting Thursday May 20th. Contact Walton County Parks and Recreation for details of operation.

At the May 11, 2021 Council Meeting, the Town of Between Council Members voted to reestablish the renting of town hall for community events. Beginning on June 1, 2021 interested parties can reserve the usage of the facility by contacting Council Member Jeanne Sullivan at (571) 331-5899. The rental fee will remain at $75.00 for usage up to eight (8) hours.

Parties using the facility will be required to sign a Release of Liability form that shall be completed prior to the rental date.

Walton County officials have advised that the official dedication and ribbon cutting for the new "Splash Park" on Heritage Parkway in the Town of Between will be held at noon on Friday May 14, 2021. Bring your children out and enjoy the newest public attraction in Walton County and the Town of Between.

I spoke with the county today regarding the trash on New Hope Church Road. I was advised that (weather permitting) a Community Services crew would be out Saturday morning to pick up the trash. Let’s all take pride in our town streets and curb the littering. Thanks.
