Street Resurfacing – Saint Martin Estates

After waiting 14 years the resurfacing of the streets in Saint Martin Estates will begin on Monday October 11th. The Walton County Public Works Department will begin prepping the streets today (Friday) and will start paving on Monday. The project is expected to take 4 days to complete. During this time there may be some delays getting into and out of the neighborhood. But any inconvenience will be well worth it.

Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum

On Thursday October 7th at 6 pm, the Walton County Chamber of Commerce will host the second "Candidate Forum" prior to the November 2nd election. This forum will allow candidates vying for council positions in the Town of Between and City of Loganville to introduce themselves, answer questions from a moderator and then have time for a closing statement. The Town of Between has three candidates running to fill two vacant council member positions. They include: Brian Rubin, Jonathan Page and William Boswell.

Please plan on attending this important event. It will be held at the Loganville City Hall Council Chambers.

Town Ordinances

The mayor and council have embarked upon a program to update existing town ordinances and to develop new ones that will better serve the operation of the town and enhance its ability to conduct business in an efficient and professional manner. Two of these are the licensing of businesses and the licensing for malt beverages and wine. The council approved the business license ordinance at its July 2021 meeting. The ordinance for the licensing of malt beverages and wine will be on the agenda for approval at the October 12th meeting.

Both of these ordinances are attached for citizen review.
