Saint Martin Estates Pavement Repairs

After several weeks of delays, the streets in Saint Martin Estates were finally deep milled and patched on Saturday October 17th. Allied Paving LLC performed the work and were able to complete the entire project in one day. This is the first time in thirteen years that any repairs had been made. This $24,000.00 project is the first phase of resurfacing all of the roadways at a later date. The passage of the proposed 2020 TSPLOST referendum on the November 3rd ballot will provide the town with the necessary funds to resurface a majority of the streets within the town limits.

It’s “BRIGHTER” Now in Between

At the request of the mayor and council, Walton EMC has replaced the street light at the intersection of US 78 and New Hope Church Road. The new 400 watt equivalent LED fixture replaces the old 100 watt sodium vapor light that has been there for many years. This new street light better illuminates the intersection making it safer for our residences.

Milling and Patching the Streets of Saint Martin Estates

The mayor and council has awarded a contract to Allied Paving LLC in the amount of $24,761.60 for the deep milling and patching of the streets in Saint Martin Estates. This project will allow the holes and crumbling asphalt to be repaired until funding can be secured to resurface the streets. Depending on the weather, the work is scheduled to begin by the end of September.

The resurfacing is part of the 2020 T-SPLOST Referendum on the November ballot.
